Chapter 2 of Haggai talks about the restoration of the Jerusalem temple, which had been destroyed by the Babylonians. Ageu prophesies that the glory of this temple will be greater than that of the previous temple and that God will bring prosperity to the people of Judah. 2 Chronicles 36:23: "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and in charge of building me a house in Jerusalem, who is in Judah. This verse talks about the glory that God will bring to His people and to His temple, which relates to AGE's prophecy about the glory of the new temple.
1 Kings 8:10-11: "And it happened that, coming out the priests of the sanctuary, a cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not stand to minister, because of the cloud, because glory From the Lord he had filled the house of the Lord. " This verse talks about the glory of God who filled the temple of Solomon, which relates to Aetu's prophecy about the glory of the new temple.
Psalm 72:16: "There will be plenty of wheat on earth, to the top of the mountains; its fruit will make noise like Lebanon, and men will flourish in cities like the grass of the earth." This verse talks about the prosperity that God will bring to his people, which relates to Ageu's prophecy about prosperity that will come to Judah after the restoration of the temple.
