Romans, 6

17. But thanks be to God that, although you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted.

Romans 6:11 - "So you also consider yourself dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus." This verse emphasizes the importance of recognizing death for sin and the need to live for God in Christ.

Romans 6:14 - "For sin will not dominate them, because you are not under the law, but under grace." This verse highlights the freedom we have in Christ, no longer being dominated by sin, but by grace.

Romans 6:23 - "For the salary of sin is death, but God's free gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord." This verse highlights God's grace in giving eternal life as a free gift, but also the seriousness of sin and the consequence of death.

Romans 6:6 - "We know that our old man has been crucified with him, so that the body of sin will be destroyed, and we will no longer be slaves of sin." This verse emphasizes the need to get rid of the old man, sin, and to be renewed in Christ, which is the central theme of Romans 6.
