Chapter 1 of the Gospel of John presents Jesus as the Word of God Incarnate, who came to illuminate all and reveal the grace and truth of God to the world. Isaiah 40:3: "A voice cries out, 'In the desert prepare the way to the Lord; make in the wilder one road to our God.'" This verse is quoted in John 1:23, when John Baptist presents himself as he who It fulfills Isaiah's prophecy, preparing the way for the Messiah.
John 3:19-20: "This is judgment: Light came into the world, but men loved darkness more than light, because their works were evil.
