Hosea Chapter 3 deals with the reconciliation between God and Israel after Israel's infidelity led to its destruction and dispersion. This is similar to what happened in Hosea, where God hid his face from Israel, but was willing to bring him back.

This verse portrays God as husband and redeemer of his people, which is similar to the history of Hosea, who was instructed by God to marry an unfaithful woman as a representation of his love for Israel.
Joel 2:13: and tear your heart, and not your garments, and convert to the Lord your God; for He is merciful and compassionate, late and great in kindness, and repent of evil. " This verse speaks of the need for true repentance and returning to the Lord. This is similar to what happened in Hosea, where the people of Israel needed to repent and return to God.
