In Acts of Apostles 15, the apostles and elders gather to discuss the issue of circumcision among the Gentiles converted to Christianity. Galatians 5:2-3: "Behold, Paul, I say unto you, that if you let you circumcise, Christ will take advantage of you. Philippians 3:3: "For circumcision is us who serve God in the Spirit, and glory in Christ Jesus, and we do not trust in the flesh." In this verse, Paul is emphasizing the importance of spiritual circumcision and how this is more important than physical circumcision.
Acts of the Apostles 15:28-29: "For it seemed well on the Holy Spirit, and we no longer impose you anymore, but these necessary things: May you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and the suffocated flesh, and, and of prostitution, of which things you do well if you keep you. " This verse is part of the decision made by the apostles and elders regarding the issue of circumcision and what other requirements the converted Gentiles needed to follow.
