33. Joab and his descendants shall be responsible forever for their blood. But there shall be the peace of the LORD forever for David, and his descendants, and his house, and his throne."

Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. Psalm 72:1: "O God, give the King your judgments, and your righteousness to the Son of the King." This psalm talks about justice that must be exercised by kings and how they must govern with equity. Proverbs 20:28: "Mercy and truth keep the king, and with mercy sustains his throne." This verse talks about the importance of placing God first and seeking His righteousness rather than seeking our own desires.
