The chapter also instructs that no one should falsely witness against their neighbor, and that those who witness must be careful in their words and actions.

Proverbs 14:5: "The faithful witness will not lie, but the false witness will speak lies." This verse highlights the importance of the veracity of the testimony and the seriousness of witnessing falsely against another person.

Matthew 5:21-22: "You have heard that it has been said to the ancients, Thou shalt not kill; but whatever killing will be defendant of judgment.
