30. Accordingly Benaiah went to the Tent of Yahweh. 'By order of the king,' he said, 'come out!' 'No,' he said, 'I will die here.' So Benaiah brought word back to the king, 'This is what Joab said, and the answer he gave me.'

Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. Psalm 72:1: "O God, give the King your judgments, and your righteousness to the Son of the King." This psalm talks about justice that must be exercised by kings and how they must govern with equity.
