Ruth 2 deals with the story of Ruth, a Moabite widow who will harvest ears in the field of Boaz, a relative close to her late husband. " This verse shows the importance of leaving remains in the harvests for the needy, a custom that Boaz continues to order her workers to leave ears to Ruth.

This verse talks about divine protection and God's faithfulness, something that is evidenced in Ruth's history through the protection and care that Boaz offers her.
