Ruth 2 deals with the story of Ruth, a Moabite widow who will harvest ears in the field of Boaz, a relative close to her late husband. In this chapter, Boaz's generosity and kindness is presented, which allows Ruth to collect ears in her field and still protects her and cares for her. Deuteronomy 24:19: "When you are reaping your grapes in your vineyard, don't go back to catch what you have left. " This verse shows the importance of leaving remains in the harvests for the needy, a custom that Boaz continues to order her workers to leave ears to Ruth.

1 Samuel 20:14-17: "And if I still live, make the Lord's loyalty to me, that not only you, but also your offspring after me, never remove your loyalty to my family." This verse talks about loyalty and commitment between friends, a relationship that is also demonstrated between Ruth and Naomi.
Psalm 91:4: "He will cover him with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; His fidelity will be his protective shield." This verse talks about divine protection and God's faithfulness, something that is evidenced in Ruth's history through the protection and care that Boaz offers her.
