Leviticus, 16

15. Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that [is] for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

Leviticus chapter 16 deals with the atonement day ceremony, in which the high priest made a series of offerings and purifications to atone for the sins of the people of Israel. The selected verses are:

Exodus 30:10: "And once a year, Aaron will do atonement on the ends of the altar; with the blood of the sin of atonement sin, he will do atonement over him once a year for all your generations. Most Holy to the Lord. " This verse mentions the sin offering of atonement, which was used on the day of atonement in Leviticus 16.

Leviticus 16:34: "And this will be for you a perpetual status, to do atonement for the children of Israel of all their transgressions once a year." This verse reinforces the importance of the atonement day ceremony as an annual practice to atone for the sins of the people.
