1 Chronicles, 20

2. And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and [there were] precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.

Chapter 20 of 1 Chronicles records King David's victories over the Philistines and other enemies of Israel. David led the Israeli army in various battles and won several cities. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:

2 Samuel 21:15 - "Still the Philistines made war to Israel; and came down David, and with him his servants, and fought against the Philistines; and David tired." This verse shows the continuation of the fight against the Philistines, mentioned in 1 Chronicles 20.

Psalm 60:12 - "In God we will do prowess; for He will tread our enemies to the feet." This psalm is attributed to David and expresses his confidence in God to overcome his enemies.

Psalm 108:13 - "In God we will do prowess; for He shall calculate our opponents to the feet." This psalm is similar to the previous one and also expresses confidence in God to overcome enemies.

Isaiah 25:8 - "It shall annihilate death forever, and thus wipe the Lord God the tears of all faces, and shall take away the reproach of his people from all the earth; for the Lord said." This verse talks about God's promise to end the suffering of his people and remove the shame they experienced in their battles.

Romans 8:37 - "But in all these things we are more than winners, for the one who loved us." This verse talks about the victory of Christians in Jesus Christ, which is greater than any earthly victory. Although not directly related to David's battles, he expresses a relevant spiritual truth for anyone fighting adversity.
