2 Chronicles, 7

14. and my people who bear my name humble themselves, and pray and look for me, and turn from their wicked ways then I myself will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.

2 Chronicles 7 tells the conclusion of the construction of Solomon's temple and his dedication to God. 2 Chronicles 6:40: "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your listeners attentive to the prayer that I do to you in this place." This verse refers to Solomon's prayer asking God to hear the prayers made in the temple. It is a memory of the importance of prayer in a place consecrated to God.

1 Kings 8:11: "The priests could not continue to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord." This verse describes the glory of God who filled the temple after its conclusion, showing the importance of God's presence in that place.
