1 Thessalonians, 3

6. But now Timothy has just returned with good news of your faith and love. He told us that you remember us kindly and that you long to see us as much as we long to see you.

Chapter 3 of 1 Thessalonians describes how Paul sent Timothy to know the news of the The Church in Thessalonica and to encourage them in their faith. Timothy comes back with good news about the firmness of the faith of the Thessalonians, which brings great comfort to Paul. Follow five verses that relate to the topics addressed in 1 Thessalonians 3:

2 Corinthians 1:3-4: "Praise the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies, and God of all consolation, who comforts us in all our tribulations, that with the consolation we receive from God, we can comfort those who are going through tribulations. " This verse talks about the consolation that God offers us in difficult times, a theme that is also addressed in 1 Thessalonians 3.

2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and balance." This verse talks about the strength and courage that God gives us, a theme that is also emphasized in 1 Thessalonians 3.
