1 Maccabees, 7

1. In the year one hundred and fifty-one, Demetrius the son of Seleucus escaped from Rome. He sailed with a few men to a port of the kingdom where he arrived and proclaimed himself king.

The seventh chapter of 1 Maccabees reports the battle between the armies of Judas Macabeus and the Antiochus King. During the fight, many Jews die and their bodies are dishonored by enemy soldiers.
