1 Chronicles, 21

23. "Take it," Ornan said to David, "and let my lord the king do as he thinks right. Look, I will give you the oxen for burnt offerings, the threshing sled for the wood and the wheat for the grain offering; I give them all."

1 Chronicles 21 reports as David, encouraged by Satan, ordered an census of Israel, challenging God's law and challenging his confidence in God. As a result, God sent an angel to punish the people of Israel with a plague. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 1 chronicles 21:

" This verse highlights the importance of submission to God, resistance to the devil, and pity for the purity of the heart.
