Chapter 3 of Acts of the Apostles narrates the healing of a lame man who was at the temple door asking for alms. Peter and John, as they pass him, heal him in the name of Jesus Christ. This episode results in a great commotion of the people who witnessed the miracle and Peter takes the opportunity to preach about Jesus as the Messiah and urges the people to repentance and conversion. The verses related to the themes of the chapter are:
Psalm 103:3: "He is the one who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your illnesses" Peter and John cure a man who was sick from birth, showing that Jesus is able to heal and forgive sins.
Acts of the Apostles 2:38: "Peter answered them, He repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
