Acts, 27

21. When many would no longer eat, Paul stood among them and said, "Men, you should have taken my advice and not have set sail from Crete and you would have avoided this disastrous loss.

Psalm 107:28-30: "Then they cried to the Lord in his anguish, and he delivered them from his afflictions. He stopped the storm, and the waves were calmed. And he rejoiced with the bonanza, and thus guided them to desired port. " This psalm talks about God's power to calm the storms and rid people from danger, which relates directly to Paul's experience during the storm at sea.

2 Corinthians 11:25: "Three times I was whip with sticks, once I was stoned, three times I suffered wreck, one night and one day I spent in the abyss." Paul mentions in his letter to the Corinthians that he has undergone three wrecks, which may refer to the experience reported in Acts 27.

Jonah 1:17: "But the Lord has sent a great fish to swallow Jonas; and Jonah was three days and three nights in the bowels of the fish." Isaiah 43:2: "When passing through the waters, I will be with you; when through the rivers, they will not submerge you; when you pass through fire, you will not burn you, nor the flame will burn in you." This verse emphasizes God's promise to be with us in the midst of dangers and difficulties, protecting us and guiding us safely to the other side.
