2 Chronicles, 7

22. And men will answer: 'They forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they adopted strange gods and worshiped them and served them. That is why he has brought down upon them all this evil.'"

2 Chronicles 7 tells the conclusion of the construction of Solomon's temple and his dedication to God. 2 Chronicles 6:40: "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your listeners attentive to the prayer that I do to you in this place." This verse refers to Solomon's prayer asking God to hear the prayers made in the temple. It is a memory of the importance of prayer in a place consecrated to God.

1 Kings 8:11: "The priests could not continue to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord." This verse describes the glory of God who filled the temple after its conclusion, showing the importance of God's presence in that place.

2 Chronicles 7:3: "When all the children of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the Lord over the temple, they knelt with their face on the ground on the floor, they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, 'He is good !
