1 Kings, 11

21. When Hadad in Egypt heard that David rested with his ancestors and that Joab, the general of the army, was dead, he said to Pharaoh, "Give me leave to return to my own country."

1 Kings 11 describes the apostasy of King Solomon, who disobeyed the Lord by marrying many foreign women and allowing them to introduce idolatry in Israel. The chapter also talks about the end of Solomon's reign and the division of the kingdom of Israel after his death. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in 1 Kings 11:

Deuteronomy 17:17: "And you will not take many women to you, so that your heart may not deviate; and will not accumulate much silver and much gold." This verse shows how Solomon disobeyed this law of God, marrying many foreign women who brought idolatry to Israel.
