Psalms, 106

7. Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider thy wonderful works; they did not remember the abundance of thy steadfast love, but rebelled against the Most High at the Red Sea.

Psalm 106 is a reflection on the history of Israel and its relationship with God, encompassing both divine grace and human infidelity. Psalm 106:1: "Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, for He is good; for His kindness lasts forever." This verse is an exhortation for people to praise the Lord, recognizing their goodness and mercy.

Psalm 106:6: "We have sinned, like our parents; we committed iniquity, we won." This verse recognizes the infidelity of the people of Israel and its tendency to move away from God.

Psalm 106:43: "Many times they delivered them, but they rebelled with them in their purpose, and were slaughtered by their iniquity." This verse highlights God's grace to rid the people of Israel of their enemies, but also recognizes the people's infidelity to rebelly against him repeatedly.
