33. So shall their blood come back upon the head of Jo'ab and upon the head of his descendants for ever; but to David, and to his descendants, and to his house, and to his throne, there shall be peace from the LORD for evermore."

Chapter 2 of 1 kings deals with the death of King David and the succession of the throne by Solomon, his son. In this chapter David gives Solomon instructions on how he must behave as King and also orders some of his enemies to be punished. Psalm 72:1: "O God, give the King your judgments, and your righteousness to the Son of the King." This psalm talks about justice that must be exercised by kings and how they must govern with equity.
