1 Chronicles 21 reports as David, encouraged by Satan, ordered an census of Israel, challenging God's law and challenging his confidence in God. As a result, God sent an angel to punish the people of Israel with a plague. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in 1 chronicles 21:

Exodus 30:12: "When you make the census of the children of Israel, each of them will give the Lord the rescue of his life when told; so that there is no plague between them, when counting them." " This verse highlights the importance of submission to God, resistance to the devil, and pity for the purity of the heart.
