Ezekiel, 23

40. And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger [was] sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments,

Ezekiel 23 is a chapter that describes the infidelity of Israel and Judah about God, using a metaphor of two sisters who prostitute themselves. The chapter shows how God's people moved away from him and surrendered to idolatry and immorality. 1 Corinthians 10:14: "Therefore, my beloved, I ran away from idolatry." This verse talks about the importance of preventing idolatry and remaining faithful to God. In Ezekiel's chapter 23, the metaphor of the prostitute sisters is used to describe the idolatry of God's people, showing the importance of moving away from it.
