2 Chronicles, 29

17. Now they began on the first [day] of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.

2 Chronicles 29 reports the reign of Hezekiah in Judah and how he restored the worship of God in the temple in Jerusalem. He summoned the priests and Levites to purify the temple and the sacred utensils, as well as restore the practices of worship of God. Psalm 116:12-13: "What will I give to the Lord for all its benefits to me? I will take the cup of salvation, and invoke the name of the Lord." This verse highlights the importance of gratitude and recognition for the benefits God gives to his servants.
