2 Peter 3:10: "There shall come, as a thief the day of the Lord, in which heaven will pass with a great crash, and the elements, burning, shall dissolve, and the earth, and the works that exist in it, will be discovered. 1 John 2:28: "And now, little children, remain in Him, that when he manifests himself, we have confidence and not be confused by him at his coming." John encourages believers to remain in Christ in order to have confidence and not be confused in his coming.
