1 Samuel, 24

16. And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, [Is] this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.

Chapter 24 of 1 Samuel narrates the story of David forgiving Saul. After fleeing Saul for a while, David had the opportunity to kill him when Saul entered a cave where David and his men were hidden. However, David chose to save Saul's life, even when his men encouraged him to kill him. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:

Proverbs 19:11 - "Man's prudence makes him delay in angry, and his glory is to forget offenses." This verse highlights David's wisdom in choosing to forgive Saul instead of taking revenge.

Matthew 5:44 - "But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." This verse shows the message of love and forgiveness that Jesus taught, which David seems to have applied to forgive Saul.

Colossians 3:13-"SUPPORT ONE OTHERS, FORGIVE TO YOU SEEFLY If anyone has a complaint against another. As the Lord has forgiven you, forgive you too." This verse highlights the importance of forgiveness and mercy among people, as David demonstrated by forgiving Saul.
