1 Thessalonians, 5

23. And may the God of peace himself sanctify you through all things, so that your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved without blame unto the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5 is a chapter that deals with the coming of the Lord Jesus and the day of the Lord. He encourages believers to remain vigilant and prepared for this day, exhorting them to live in holiness and love for each other. Below are five verses related to these themes:

Matthew 24:42: "Watch, for you do not know what day your Lord comes in." Jesus urges his followers to remain vigilant and ready for his coming.

2 Peter 3:10: "There shall come, as a thief the day of the Lord, in which heaven will pass with a great crash, and the elements, burning, shall dissolve, and the earth, and the works that exist in it, will be discovered. " Peter describes the coming of the Lord as a sudden and impactful event, and warns Christians to prepare for that day.

1 John 2:28: "And now, little children, remain in Him, that when he manifests himself, we have confidence and not be confused by him at his coming." John encourages believers to remain in Christ in order to have confidence and not be confused in his coming.

1 Thessalonians 4:3: "For this is the will of God, your sanctification; which you abstain from prostitution." Paul urges Christians to live in holiness, in preparation for the coming of the Lord.

John 13:34: "A new commandment gives you, Let you love one another; as I loved you, who you also love you." Jesus teaches the importance of mutual love among followers, a theme emphasized in 1 Thessalonians 5.
