1 Samuel, 3

5. And he ran to Eli, and he said, “Here I am. For you called me.” And he said: “I did not call. Return and sleep.” And he went away, and he slept.

1 Samuel 3 narrates Samuel's call to be a prophet of God. God spoke to Samuel for the first time when he was still a child serving in the temple of God. The chapter shows the importance of listening to the voice of God and obeying it. Here are five verses related to topics covered in this chapter:
