Moreover, urge believers to find themselves confidently to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace in time of necessity.
Deuteronomy 1:32-33: "However, you did not want to go, but you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, your God. You murmured in your tents and said, 'The Lord hates us; so brought us from Egypt to surrender us into the hands of the Amorites and destroy us. " This verse shows how disbelief can prevent people from entering God's rest, how it happened to the Israelites who refused to trust God and rebelled against Him, even after they saw all the miracles He did for them in Egypt.
Psalm 95:7-8: "For He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, the flock he leads. If only you hear your voice today, do not harde the heart as in Meribá, as in Massa in the desert. " This verse highlights the importance of listening to God's voice and obeying Him, that we may enter God's rest and not harden our hearts by unbelief.
Jeremiah 23:29: "Is it not my word as fire, does the Lord declare, and as a hammer that breaks a rock?" This verse shows the powerful and penetrating nature of the Word of God, which is capable of discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart and guiding us to true faith in Jesus Christ.
James 4:16: "How do you know what will happen tomorrow? Your life is like the fog at dawn: it's a fleeting." This verse reminds us of the brevity of life and the importance of seeking God as we still have time, that we may enter God's rest through faith in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because whoever approaches him must believe that He exists and that they reward those who seek Him." This verse highlights the importance of faith in God so that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence and receive mercy and grace in time of necessity.
