Chapter 22 of 1 Chronicles describes David's preparation for the construction of God's temple in Jerusalem, and how he gathered the materials necessary for the work. 2 Chronicles 2:4-5-"Behold, I will build a house to the name of the Lord my God, to consecrate it, to burn the aromatic incense before him, to put the bread of continuous proposition over it, and to offer holocaustos In the morning and in the afternoon, on Saturdays, on the new moons, and in the feasts of the Lord our God; which is perpetually ordered in Israel.
