2 Maccabees, 14

6. "Those of the Jews who are called Hasideans, whose leader is Judas Maccabeus, are keeping up war and stirring up sedition, and will not let the kingdom attain tranquillity.

In 2 Maccabees 14, Judas Macabeu and his men plan a battle against Nicanor and his soldiers. During this chapter we see Judas's strategy and his confidence in God to obtain victory. The verses selected below talk about courage in battle, the importance of prayer and trust in God for victory.
