2 Maccabees, 14

31. When the latter became aware that he had been cleverly outwitted by the man, he went to the great and holy temple while the priests were offering the customary sacrifices, and commanded them to hand the man over.

Psalm 33:16-17: "There is no king who saves himself with the multitude of his armies, nor the brave man gets rid of his strength. The horse is going to security; it does not deliver anyone with its great strength." This verse talks about how victory depends not only on physical strength or numbers, but on God's help.

Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear, because I am with you, do not haunt yourself, because I am your God; I strengthen you, and help you, and I support you with my faithful right hand." This verse talks about how God is our protector and provider at all times, including moments of battle and difficulty.
