Judith, 15

7. The Israelites returning from the slaughter seized what was left. The hamlets and villages of the mountain country and the plain also captured a great deal of booty, since there were vast stores of it.

Joshua 1:9: "Didn't I order you to be strong and brave? Do not be afraid or beyond, for the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go." This verse encourages Joshua to lead the people of Israel to the Promised Land and may have served as an inspiration to Judite, who led his people to victory against the Assyrians.
