Salmos, 115

1. ¡No a nosotros, Yahveh, no a nosotros, sino a tu nombre da la gloria, por tu amor, por tu verdad!

1. Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, [and] for thy truth's sake.

2. ¿Por qué han de decir las gentes: «¿Dónde está su Dios?»

2. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where [is] now their God?

3. Nuestro Dios está en los cielos, todo cuanto le place lo realiza.

3. But our God [is] in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

4. Plata y oro son sus ídolos, obra de mano de hombre.

4. Their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

5. Tienen boca y no hablan, tienen ojos y no ven,

5. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

6. tienen oídos y no oyen, tienen nariz y no huelen.

6. They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

7. Tienen manos y no palpan, tienen pies y no caminan, ni un solo susurro en su garganta.

7. They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

8. Como ellos serán los que los hacen, cuantos en ellos ponen su confianza.

8. They that make them are like unto them; [so is] every one that trusteth in them.

9. Casa de Israel, confía en Yahveh, él, su auxilio y su escudo;

9. O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

10. casa de Aarón, confía en Yahveh, él, su auxilio y su escudo;

10. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

11. los que teméis a Yahveh, confiad en Yahveh, él, su auxilio y su escudo.

11. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he [is] their help and their shield.

12. Yahveh se acuerda de nosotros, él bendecirá, bendecirá a la casa de Israel, bendecirá a la casa de Aarón,

12. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless [us]; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

13. bendecirá a los que temen a Yahveh, a pequeños y grandes.

13. He will bless them that fear the LORD, [both] small and great.

14. ¡Yahveh os acreciente a vosotros y a vuestros hijos!

14. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

15. ¡Benditos vosotros de Yahveh, que ha hecho los cielos y la tierra!

15. Ye [are] blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

16. Los cielos, son los cielos de Yahveh, la tierra, se la ha dado a los hijos de Adán.

16. The heaven, [even] the heavens, [are] the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

17. No alaban los muertos a Yahveh, ni ninguno de los que bajan al Silencio;

17. The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

18. mas nosotros, los vivos, a Yahveh bendecimos, desde ahora y por siempre.

18. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.
