Deuteronomy, 17

7. First, the hands of the witnesses shall be upon him who will be put to death, and lastly, the hands of the remainder of the people shall be sent forth. So may you take away the evil from your midst.

Deuteronomy chapter 17 deals with justice and punishment for those who disobey the laws established by God. Leviticus 19:15: "You will not commit injustice in the judgment. You will not make the sense of people with the poor, nor will you lean before the great; with justice you will judge your neighbor." Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do good; seek what is just; help the oppressed; do justice to the orphan; deal with the cause of the widows." This verse highlights the importance of doing good and helping the needy.

James 2:9: "But if you make the sense of people, committed sin, and you are condemned by law as transgressors." This verse warns of injustice to distinguish between people and the importance of treating everyone equally.
