15. Then the sons of Ammon, seeing that the Syrians had fled, also themselves fled from Abishai, his brother, and they entered into the city. And now Joab returned to Jerusalem.

1 Chronicles 19 tells the history of war between David and the Ammonites. This verse shows that David trusted God and his spiritual weapons to fight the ammonites, not in his own skills or physical strength.
