Judges 16 tells the story of Samson and his fall after getting involved with Delilah, a Philistine woman who seduces him and tries to discover the source of his strength. Samson ends up revealing the secret of his strength to Delilah, who betrays and gives him to the Philistines, who attach it, blind and use it as a spectacle in their temples. Proverbs 16:18: "Pride precedes destruction, and the haughty of the Spirit precedes the fall." Samson is an example of how arrogance and excessive confidence in their own skills can lead to fall.
