Chapter 36 of 2 Chronicles narrates the end of the kingdom of Judah and the fall of Jerusalem to Babylon, fulfilling God's prophecies about the punishment of the people for their disobedience. " This verse anticipates the fall of Babylon after seventy years and shows that God used the nation to punish Judah for his sins.
2 Kings 24:10-11: "At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and the city was surrounded against Jerusalem, and the city was surrounded. " This verse brings the hope of restoration and reconstruction of the temple of Jerusalem after exile in Babylon, fulfilling Jeremiah's prophecies and showing God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises.
