Luke, 9

10. On their return the apostles gave him an account of all they had done. Then he took them with him and withdrew towards a town called Bethsaida where they could be by themselves.

Chapter 9 of St. Luke begins with Jesus by sending his twelve disciples to preach the Kingdom of God and to perform healing and miracles in his name. He later feeds five thousand people with only five breads and two fish, reveals to his disciples that he will suffer and be killed, and teaches about the importance of humility and commitment to him. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in São Luke 9:

Matthew 10:1 - "Calling their twelve disciples gave them authority to expel filthy spirits and heal all diseases and diseases." This verse is similar to the mission that Jesus gave to his disciples in Luke 9:1-2, where he gives them power and authority to heal and expel demons in his name.

John 6:5-6 - "When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd that came to meet him, said to Philip, 'Where will we buy enough bread to give them all to eat?" And I said that to test him, because he himself knew what he was going to do. " This verse is similar to the story in Luke 9:12-17, where Jesus feeds five thousand people with only five breads and two fish.

Mark 8:34-"Then he called the crowd and the disciples and said, 'If anyone wants to accompany me, deny yourself, take your cross and follow me.'" This verse is similar to the message From Jesus in Luke 9:23, where he says, "If anyone wants to come after me, deny himself, take his cross and follow me."

John 13:20 - "Truth, in truth, I say unto you, He who receives him whom I sent me, receive me; and whoever received me receives him who sent me." This verse is similar to the teaching of Jesus in Luke 9:48: "He who receives this child in my name receives me; and he who receives me receives the one who sent me."

John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but for me.'" This verse is similar to the teaching of Jesus in Luke 9:50, where he says to his disciples, "He who is not against us is for us."
