The book of Judith is one of the Old Testament's Deuterocanonian books that tells the story of Judite, a brave widow who saved the city of Betulia from the invasion of the Assyrians. Chapter 1 of this book describes the invasion of the Assyrians led by Nebuchadnezzar and how they conquered several cities, including Israel.
