25. And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it [is] ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
Chapter 15 of numbers deals with the offer of voluntary sacrifices and offerings that should be presented to the Lord, as well as instructions on the observance of God's commandments. Following are five verses related to the topics addressed in numbers 15, in order of proximity to the chapter:
Leviticus 22:17-18: "And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, speak to Aaron and his children, and to all the sons of Israel, and say unto them, Any man of the house of Israel, or of foreigners in Israel , to offer your offer, whether of your vows, or your voluntary offerings, which they offer the Lord in Holocaust; " This verse talks about the offer of sacrifices that should be presented to the Lord, which is similar to what is addressed in numbers 15.
Leviticus 23:15-16: "And from the day after Saturday, from the day you bring the sauce of the moved offer, seven full weeks will be. Until the day after the seventh Saturday, you will count fifty days; then you will offer new offer of food to the Lord. " This verse talks about the observance of God's commandments, which is approached in numbers 15.
Deuteronomy 26:13: "And thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I took from my house the consecrated things, and I also gave them to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow, according to all thy commandments that you ordered me; Your commandments, nor did I forgot. " This verse talks about the importance of following the Lord's commandments regarding offerings and sacrifices, and also shows the responsibility of the people of Israel to take care of the underprivileged.
Leviticus 23:10: "Speak to the children of Israel, and say unto them, When there are entering the earth which I will give you, and make his harvest, then you will bring a sauce of your sega's firstfruits to the priest;" This verse refers to the offering of the firstfruits, which should be presented to the Lord as a form of thanks for the blessings received.
Deuteronomy 14:22-23: "You will surely have the tithes of all the fruit of your seeds, that each year retreat from the countryside. And before the Lord your God, where you choose to make your name there, you will eat the tithes. From your grain, your most, and your olive oil, and the firstborn of your cows and your sheep; that you may learn to fear the Lord your God every day. " This verse talks about the obligation of the people of Israel to make tithes as a way of contributing to the support of Levi's tribe, which was responsible for religious service.
