Romans, 1

21. for they knew God and did not glorify him as was fitting, nor did they give thanks to him. On the contrary, they lost themselves in their reasoning and darkness filled their minds.

Romans 6:23: "For the salary of sin is death, but God's free gift is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This verse teaches that sin leads to death, but God offers the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you are saved, through faith; and this does not come from you, it is the gift of God; it does not come from the works, so that no one can glorious." This verse emphasizes that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by the works of man.
