Luke, 2

36. And there was a prophetess, Anna, a daughter of Phanuel, from the tribe of Asher. She was very advanced in years, and she had lived with her husband for seven years from her virginity.

Luke chapter 2 describes the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem and events that occurred shortly thereafter. Luke 1:32: "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give you the throne of his Father David." This verse is a prophecy about Jesus as the Messiah, the fulfillment of God's promises to David.

Luke 2:40: "And the boy grew and strengthened, filling himself with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him." This verse indicates the development of Jesus' childhood, which grew up in wisdom and grace before God and men.
