Leviticus, 12

3. who shall examine the sore on his skin. If the hair on the sore has turned white and the sore itself shows that it has penetrated below the skin, it is indeed the sore of leprosy; the priest, on seeing this, shall declare the man unclean.

Leviticus 12 deals with the purification of women after delivery. God gives Moses instructions on what women should do after giving birth to a boy or a girl, including the period of purification and the sacrifices that must be offered. Luke 2:22: "And when their days of purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." This verse talks about compliance with purification laws according to the law of Moses, something that is addressed in Leviticus 12.

Luke 2:23-24: "According to what is written in the law of the Lord: Every male who opens the mother will be called the Lord to the Lord; and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, a pair of rolls , or two lovebirds. " These verses refer to the sacrifices that should be offered after the birth of a boy, as described in Leviticus 12.
