Psalms, 17

14. From men [which are] thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, [which have] their portion in [this] life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid [treasure]: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their [substance] to their babes.

Psalm 17 is a prayer of David, where he cries to God for protection and justice against his enemies. David asks God to examine his thoughts and his actions, and that he free him of the wicked men around him. He trusts that God is His only hope and refuge. Proverbs 2:8 - "He keeps the paths of the righteous and protects the way from his faithful." This verse speaks of the protection that God offers to the righteous, those who walk in their ways and trust him.

Psalm 18:2 - "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my liberator; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the power that saves me, my tower . " This verse speaks of David's confidence in God as his rock, his fortress and his refuge, which protects him from evil.

Psalm 34:7 - "The angel of the Lord camp around those who fear him, and delivers them." This verse speaks of the protection God offers to his faithful servants, sending his angels to protect them.

Psalm 37:28 - "For the Lord loves who practices justice, and will not abandon his faithful; forever will be protected, but the descent of the wicked shall be eliminated." This verse speaks of the continuous protection God offers his righteous servants, and that He will not abandon them.

Psalm 91:2 - "I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, whom I trust." This verse speaks of David's confidence in God as his refuge and fortress, which protects him from evil.
