Joshua, 14

1. And these [are the countries] which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.

Joshua chapter 14 describes how the land of Canaan was divided between the tribes of Israel, and as Caleb, one of the spies sent by Moses to the promised land, asked Joshua to give him a portion of land that had been promised to him for God. Caleb is an example of faith and perseverance, for despite his advanced age, he was still willing to fight for his inheritance on Earth. Here are five verses related to the topics addressed in Joshua 14:

Deuteronomy 1:36: "save Caleb, the son of Jefoné; He will see it, and the land that stepped will give him and his sons, since he has persevered to follow the Lord." This verse relates to the promise God made Caleb, that He would receive a portion of earth in the promised land because of His faith and obedience.

Hebrews 3:14: "For we are made participants of Christ if we firmly withdraw the principle of our trust to the end." This verse relates to the idea of ​​perseverance and trust in God, which Caleb has shown throughout his life and is an example for all believers.

Psalm 37:4: "Plendate the Lord, and he will satisfy the desires of your heart." This verse relates to the fact that Caleb has entrusted in God to give him the portion of land that had been promised, and that this trust was rewarded.

Ephesians 6:10: "In the others, my brothers, strengthen you in the Lord and in the strength of your power." This verse relates to the idea that God's strength and power are necessary to persevere in faith and obedience, just as Caleb has done.

Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the Lord; encourage you, and strengthen your heart; wait, therefore, for the Lord." This verse relates to the idea that Caleb has waited patiently for fulfilling God's promise, and that all believers must trust and wait in the Lord to fulfill their promises and plans in their lives.
