St. John 6 deals with the multiplication of bread and fish, the discourse of Jesus as the bread of life and the disbelief of the disciples. The selected verses are:
1 Corinthians 10:17: "Since there is a single bread, we, who are many, are one body, for we all participate in the one bread." This verse relates to the idea that Jesus is the bread of life and how we participate in Him.
John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth." This verse relates to the idea that Jesus is the bread of life that came down from heaven.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life." This verse relates to the idea that Jesus is the offer of eternal life for those who believe in Him.
John 14:6: "Jesus answered, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except for me." This verse relates to the idea that Jesus is the only way to salvation and eternal life.
John 20:31: "But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that, believing to have life in his name." This verse relates to the central idea of St. John 6 that Jesus is the bread of life that gives eternal life and how we should believe in Him to have this life.
