Lamentations, 1

10. Jod. The enemy hath put out his hand to all her desirable things: for she hath seen the Gentiles enter into her sanctuary, of whom thou gavest commandment that they should not enter into thy church.

Isaiah 64:10: "Your Holy Cities have become deserted; Zion became desert, Jerusalem in sillow." This verse describes the destruction of sacred cities and the desolation of Jerusalem, which is a central theme of lamentations 1.

Psalm 137:1: "Next to the rivers of Babylon, we settle there and cry, when we remember Zion." This verse shows the pain and sadness of the exiles in Babylon, who remember their homeland and cry for the loss of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 51:19: "These two things came to you, who shall it be compassioned on? This verse shows God's sadness for the suffering of Jerusalem and the sense of impotence in the face of destruction.
