Psalms, 148

1. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise ye him in the high places.

1. Gr./Heb. Psalm 148 αλληλουια Αγγαιου καὶ Ζαχαριου αἰνεῖτε τὸν κύριον ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν αἰνεῖτε αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις

2. Praise ye him , all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

2. αἰνεῖτε αὐτόν πάντες οἱ ἄγγελοι αὐτοῦ αἰνεῖτε αὐτόν πᾶσαι αἱ δυνάμεις αὐτοῦ

3. Praise ye him, O sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light.

3. αἰνεῖτε αὐτόν ἥλιος καὶ σελήνη αἰνεῖτε αὐτόν πάντα τὰ ἄστρα καὶ τὸ φῶς

4. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens: and let all the waters that are above the heavens

4. αἰνεῖτε αὐτόν οἱ οὐρανοὶ τῶν οὐρανῶν καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ τὸ ὑπεράνω τῶν οὐρανῶν

6. He hath established them for ever, and for ages of ages: he hath made a decree, and it shall not pass away.

6. ἔστησεν αὐτὰ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος πρόσταγμα ἔθετο καὶ οὐ παρελεύσεται

7. Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all ye deeps:

7. αἰνεῖτε τὸν κύριον ἐκ τῆς γῆς δράκοντες καὶ πᾶσαι ἄβυσσοι

8. Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy winds which fulfil his word:

8. πῦρ χάλαζα χιών κρύσταλλος πνεῦμα καταιγίδος τὰ ποιοῦντα τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ

9. Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars:

9. τὰ ὄρη καὶ πάντες οἱ βουνοί ξύλα καρποφόρα καὶ πᾶσαι κέδροι

10. Beasts and all cattle: serpents and feathered fowls:

10. τὰ θηρία καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη ἑρπετὰ καὶ πετεινὰ πτερωτά

11. Kings of the earth and all people: princes and all judges of the earth:

11. βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντες λαοί ἄρχοντες καὶ πάντες κριταὶ γῆς

12. Young men and maidens: let the old with the younger, praise the name of the Lord:

12. νεανίσκοι καὶ παρθένοι πρεσβῦται μετὰ νεωτέρων

13. for his name alone is exalted.

13. αἰνεσάτωσαν τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου ὅτι ὑψώθη τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ μόνου ἡ ἐξομολόγησις αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ γῆς καὶ οὐρανοῦ

14. The praise of him is above heaven and earth: and he hath exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his saints: to the children of Israel, a people approaching to him. Alleluia.

14. καὶ ὑψώσει κέρας λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ὕμνος πᾶσι τοῖς ὁσίοις αὐτοῦ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαῷ ἐγγίζοντι αὐτῷ
